Rod
also has direct experience in real estate investing. He has owned
six residences throughout Scottsdale and continues to own
residential rental properties and the commercial building where the
company resides. "Real Estate should be an important part of a
solid investment portfolio. Looking back, I wish I still owned
every property I ever bought."
Rod
and his wife Lynette met in Arizona and are raising two teenage
children, Kailee and Braydon. They live in east Scottsdale
where the kids attend Desert Mountain High School. "Arizona is
our home, it is an excellent place to raise a family."

VOSHA Wins USA Hockey Youth Tier II 14 & Under National Championship

The VOSHA Bantam Tier II team today won the Youth Tier II 14 & under National Championship held in Westchester, Pennsylvania. The Bantam Tier II team coached by Jim Johnson beat the Dakota Starz in the championship game 5-2.
The VOSHA Bantam Tier II Team is the first youth hockey team from the state of Arizona to win a USA Hockey National Championship.
In the quarterfinals the Mustangs beat the Chicago Blues the Central District Champion 4-2. The Blues were undefeated going into the game.
In the semifinal game the Mustangs beat the Toledo Ice Dogs the number 1 rated Bantam Tier II team in the country prior to the Nationals 2-1.
With a 5-2 victory over the Dakota Starz, Goalie Robert Bazlen with his 27 saves helped clinch the 14U USA Hockey National Championship title for VOSHA. In the first period Mike Bosco connected with Duncan McKeller giving VOSHA a 1-0 lead. Mike was able to return the favor by passing to Duncan making it 2-0. Soon after Duncan McKeller again fed the puck to Jay Roth making it a 3-0 game. The Starz were able to answer with a couple of goals of their own goals with one late in the Second and then early in the third, both were Power-Play goals. VOSHA's Braydon Dennis was able to connect with a pass from Danny Heath assisted by Jeremy Kelso. The final goal of the game was scored by Duncan McKeller unassisted.
